This vintage mug, made in Japan, features a nude bearded man with a penis that is suspended from a stiff wire and swings when tapped or tilted. This is a more rare version of these novelty mugs which often featured nude women with swinging breasts or butts. A later (or maybe alternate?) version of this mug featured a fig leaf instead of an exposed dick. We’ve come across this version of this mug a few times here and there and it was sometimes sold as the companion piece to the blonde nude mug of a similar style. See last image for reference. We sometimes sell this blonde mug when we find them but this one is not for sale. This mug is roughly 4″ tall by 2.5″ wide. It’s in overall excellent condition with only minor surface crazing typical of aged ceramics. There are no significant chips or cracks.
