These vintage porcelain hand-shaped dishes come from post-war Japan and are a favorite FLW collectible. They may have once been intended for use as a resting place for a small pipe or cigars. This one is a beauty with somewhat more rare decorative hand-painted pattern and gold metallic highlights. It measures approximately 5.5″ x 2.5″. It has no significant signs of damage and only minimal paint loss from wear and age. See last photo for scale.
