Originally, Paños were pen or pencil drawings on fabric, and were mainly a form of prison art made in the Southwest United States. The first paños were made with pieces of bedsheets and pillowcases in the 1930s. Since then, the style has become a popular art form.
This one was created by @dtristman using blue and red ballpoint pen on a vintage handkerchief which came with embroidered roses.
