This vintage hand-shaped dish is made from molded milk glass. Milk glass is an opaque or translucent, milk white or colored glass that can be blown or pressed into shapes and originated in 16th century Venice. The origin of this particular dish is unknown. It may have been made in the ’50s or ’60s. It measures approximately 5″ by 2.5″. No cracks or major paint loss. Could be used as a holder for small pieces of jewelry or other little objects (coins shown for scale).
