This rare and beautiful vintage mug is one of two available here. It is an oversized mug standing at just over 6″ tall and features a terrific pinup illustration on one side. The origins of it are unknown but the style looks to be from the ’50s or ’60s, possibly older. There is allover surface crazing which is typical of aged glazed ceramics. The crazing is visible but the mug has no actual chips or cracks and remains very smooth to the touch. The illustration appears to be part of the glaze work as opposed to some form of decal.
While this mug is in great vintage condition, we do not recommend using it for beverages. It is an antique intended for display purposes mainly. Because it is very large, we were able to use it to display dry flowers, for example. Do not microwave or place in dishwasher.
