This hula-themed variation of these Betty Boop ceramic boxes is much more rare than the standard version which features Betty in a red dress. (We’ve seen these on eBay with a starting price of $50!) These were made in Japan in the early ’80s and were hand-painted and glazed. This one is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear, no major chips or cracks, and only very tiny spots of paint loss. It is approximately 6″ tall and 4.25″ across when closed. See last photo with objects placed in it for scale. This could easily hold a few pieces of jewelry, keys, coins, condoms, small objects like that…
