Made in post-war Japan, these beautiful little skeleton salt & pepper shakers are rare and highly sought after by collectors. This pair is in fairly good condition with a few minor signs of wear. One shaker has a very minor surface scuff where the glaze is worn off (visible in the photo). The measure roughly 3″ tall and have hand-lettered “Poison” glazed on the fronts. There is a worn label on one that once indicated where the souvenir was purchased but it is no longer readable.
These should be considered rare antiques and are intended for display purposes only. You probably could use them as shakers but they are very old and are mainly intended to be decorative. They do have corks in the bottom. Do not put in dishwasher.
